March is mens skin care month!
Mens skin care is just as important as women's. Its very important for men to take proper
care of their skin. A recommended skin care routine for men would include a cleanser,
toner, moisturizer, and sunscreen. Since shaving is normally a daily routine for men their
skin can become very dry and irritated. Folliculits (ingrown hairs) is a problem for most men,
especially if they have very course beard hair. Proper cleansing and ex foliating can do
wonders for men who suffer from razor bumps. Showering before you shave helps for a
cleaner, softer, less irritating shave. After shaving always follow with a non-irritating
moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated all day. Facials are a great way to help keep your
skin looking and feeling healthy. They are recommended every 6-8 weeks. When receiving
facials you should not shave the same day as your treatment.
Benefits of facials:
- Ex foliates
- Deep cleanses
- Relaxes muscles,nerves, and senses
- Softens wrinkles and age lines
- Increases circulation and detoxifies
- Helps clear acne and blemishes
- Corrects, dryness,oiliness, and redness
..."you are what you eat."
Healthy beautiful skin starts with a healthy diet and proper water intake. Think of the quote,
"you are what you eat." The food you consume nourishes your body and your skin is your
largest organ. Your skin is the external picture of whats going on internally. Proper nutrition,
lifestyle, water intake, exercise, and skin care routine play a crucial role in maintaining
healthy skin.
Healthy eating is not about strict nutrition
philosophies, staying unrealistically thin, or
depriving yourself of the foods you love.
Rather, it’s about feeling great, having more
energy, and keeping yourself as healthy as
possible – all which can be achieved by
learning some nutrition basics and
incorporating them in a way that works for you.
